These are a series of worksheets and information I have collated into a full project. The theme of the project is MASKS & IDENTITY Within the project, there are a number of mini sections relating to different mask types. I have uploaded these individually (see below) as they are perfect for cover / homework / one off lessons. I will also upload the full project once I have added the finishing touches. I created this resource for the delivery of the NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Art & Design (Unit 02). The activity is very interactive, encouraging the learners to cut out the various examples of the formal elements within art and graphic design and then match them up in the boxes with the names & definitions. There is also the answer sheet included, and this can be used as a display or laminated for reference in lessons. I have used this resource with young offenders and it proved highly successful. It can also be used as a recap to check learner understanding.

A PDF containing a range of portrait photographers with examples of their work. I designed this to inspire GCSE Year 10 pupils at a previous school. I have also added an abstract photographer PDF file as well (separate upload)

These resources are from my PGCE. I taught Art & Design to a mixed ability Y8 group and chose to teach them about one point perspective and architecture. A series of worksheets I have produced to develop learner knowledge of the influences and contexts surrounding the creation of graphic design and art. These were designed to meet part of the assessment criteria for Unit 02 of the NCFE Level 1 Award in Graphic Design, however they would suit mainstream KS3 and KS4 as homework, cover lesson worksheets or starters. The idea behind the factsheets was to have a bank of resources for reference, both for myself and for students. I have printed all of these out and have them in separate folders (relating to style of art/design). I have made great use of them during my time teaching in a young offenders institute, and the learners like to select their own designers for inspiration to develop their ideas. A learner friendly peer feedback slip designed for use in an Art & Design lesson (with a project focused around Robots, however the design is very neutral and suitable for a variety of subject areas!) A great tool for formative assessment and a way to encourage learners to work together and respect each other (British Values).
